Foreigner on A&E's Private Sessions!
« on: February 18, 2009, 04:44:23 pm »
Foreigner recently performed on A&E's music and film show PRIVATE SESSIONS and they were amazing!! They performed Cold as Ice, Waiting for a Girl Like You, Urgent, and a few other songs.  I think they're going to be part of the Best of Private Sessions episode on Sunday, March 1st at 9 am! I can't wait to watch!

Sweet!!!  I won't miss this one cause I am still kicking myself for missing the first private sessions show.  Does anyone know if the first one will air again or if you can buy a dvd of it?

You can order the Foreigner Soundstage DVD here:

http://www.outletplace.com/sShowProd.aspx?PROD2335

Has more songs than the TV broadcast.  Better hurry because they usually only produce a limited number of these and when they're gone I think that's it.

Cool!  The Soundstage Merchandise main page currently lists Foreigner as the most ordered item!  For good reason too.

I watched the "Best of Private sessions"  this morning on A & E -- 8am central time.  Alas, no Foreigner performance :(  Nice interview with Mick about opening for the Beatles before Foreigner was conceived.

Littlesister,

Oh sorry about that.  There's been so many TV appearances and shows lately I'm getting them mixed up.

However to make up for my mistake, shoot me your mailing info and I'll mail you a copy of the A&E show.  I recorded it to DVD and it turned out pretty good except for some awkward chapter breaks I couldn't change.

And, I just saw a rerun of Cheryl Crow's Private Session yesterday, so hopefully they'll air Foreigner's again sometime.

Mark,
From one who is somewhat techie challenged, do you hook your DVD burner into the TV to record or do you record on DVR and somehow transfer to DVD?  We have a plasma and DISH DVR.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Jan

Hi Jan,

I'm not too techie on this one either, but I have DVD/VHS combo that can record DVD. So it just picks up the TV show and records it like an old VHS tape would.  To make copies I have a burner hooked up to my PC.  A friend hooked that up and I don't really know exactly how it works. Hope it never stops!
