Streaming Surges as "Orange Is the New Black" Features Foreigner’s “I Want To Know What Love Is” in Season Finale
Streaming of iconic Foreigner hit “I Want to Know What Love Is” is up 400% as a result of being featured on Netflix’s highly anticipated third season of "Orange Is the New Black,” with other Foreigner hits gaining renewed attention as well, with streaming up more than 200% for tracks like “Jukebox Hero." While viewers anxiously awaited the release of season three, one of the most anticipated series of the season, most binge-watched all thirteen episodes when Netflix released them on June 12th resulting in more than 41,000 streams of the hit on that day alone, and Spotify streams running at an average of almost 10,000 a day. Spoiler alert - inmate Morello who throughout the season participated in the prison pen-pal program finally met her match, ending season three with a wedding. Morello marries her pen-pal, and gives her heartfelt vows by reciting Foreigner’s “I Want to Know What Love Is.” The episode ends with the legendary tune closing out the season.
