First Stop, Dallas/Ft. Worth!
Mick, Kelly, and the band made multiple visits to Dallas, TX for a number of special events before kicking off the 2009 spring tour. The first stop was a performance on "Good Day" on Fox 4 on Monday, March 30th, where the band performed acoustic versions of "Say You Will" and "Feels Like The First Time." Mick and Kelly also gave an excellent interview. Check out the videos on their website:
Later on that day, March 30th, Foreigner played a rare acoustic performance and Q&A session at Billy Bob's, presented by Lone Star 92.5 KZPS and courtesy of Texas Motor Speedway and Samsung.
Mick and Kelly made a TV appearance on "Good Morning Texas" the following morning, on Tuesday, March 31. Mick and Kelly gave an interview and performed acoustic versions of "Feels Like The First Time" and "Double Vision." The videos are now featured on their website:
TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Sunday, April 5th will see Foreigner arriving by helicopter at The Texas Motor Speedway, where they will perform a blistering high energy set as a curtain raiser to the Samsung 500 of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. In preparation for the show, Mick and Kelly were honored with a day at the track and a personal high speed tour of the Texas Motor Speedway. The band will return to Dallas on Saturday, May 9th to headline the Taste Addison Music Fair. This is a world class event, and Foreigner will take the stage at 10 PM, but you must get there early to get your $5 ticket and enjoy all the festivities. Tickets are limited to 20,000, and a sellout crowd is expected.
