(New York, NY, June 22, 2012) – The star-studded feature film “Rock of Ages” hit theatres last week, with a rock and roll soundtrack dominated by iconic group Foreigner who’s sales have sky rocketed as a result of the blockbuster film. Jumping onto the Billboard Top 200 at #5 this week, up 10 positions from it's debut and the "greatest gainer" of the week, the “Rock of Ages” soundtrack features Foreigner hits “I Want To Know What Love Is,” “Juke Box Hero” and “Waiting For A Girl Like You” – more songs than any other one band on the soundtrack - sung by stars Tom Cruise, Diego Boneta, and Julianne Hough. Soundscan numbers report digital downloads of “Juke Box Hero” were up 400%.

Foreigner’s 'I Want To Know What Love Is' is a worldwide #1 hit and 'Waiting For A Girl Like You' is #49 in Billboard's chart of Greatest Pop Songs Of All Times. 'Juke Box Hero' is often considered to be the signature Foreigner song. NASCAR champion Tony Stewart recently presented Mick Jones with an RIAA Gold record for the song which achieved the 500,000 sales mark in the digital age, thus proving its connection to a whole new generation of fans.
