Styx, Foreigner and former Eagles guitarist Don Felder are joining forces to provide The Soundtrack of Summer this year, a three-month tour that kicks off May 16 in Oklahoma City and runs through July 27 in Santa Barbara, California. All three co-headliners have recorded a new version of the Eagles' "Hotel California" (which Felder co-wrote) and will release a compilation album to accompany the tour.

Foreigner has finished its 2013 tour itinerary, but the veteran rockers already have big plans for next year. The band already has lined up a North American tour leg that’s scheduled to run from a January 31 show in Valley Center, California, through a March 21-22 stand in Rama, Canada.

Last night, Foreigner's Mick Jones and Lou Gramm were officially inducted in the Songwriters Hall Of Fame! Then in one of the most anticipated moments of the night, the duo took stage one more time and performed "Juke Box Hero" and "I Want to Know What Love Is" (the latter with Anthony Morgan's Inspirational Choir of Harlem). Hall of Fame chairman Jimmy Webb enthused that it was "a totally emotional experience."

Foreigner joins this year's Indy 500 pre-race festivities by participating in the IPL 500 Festival Parade this Saturday, May 25th at Noon, and headlining for the Snakepit Ball later in the evening. Taking place in the Indiana Roof Ballroom, the Snakepit Ball has become a race-eve tradition. Known as the place to see the stars, the black-tie event includes red carpet arrivals by celebrities in town for race weekend and special VIP guests.

The Songwriters Hall of Fame announced today that Mick Jones and Lou Gramm will become the latest inductees of the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the organization’s 44th Annual Induction and Awards Dinner. The star-studded induction event is slated for Thursday, June 13th at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
